How to Back Up Your ScanLister Data
Backing up your ScanLister data ensures you can restore your listings and settings if anything goes wrong during an update or reinstall.
💾 Why this matters
Your backup file includes both settings and listing data. If you’ve scanned or listed items, a backup allows you to restore that work later.
Backup Steps

Open the Backup & Restore screen
In ScanLister, go to Settings → Utilities → Backup and Restore. -
Choose where to save the backup
Click the three dots next to Backup to. -
Select a file location and name
Choose where you want to save the file and give it a name.
Example: saving to the Desktop with the name SLBackup1-25-2021. -
Complete the backup
Click Proceed to finish.
Once complete, you’ll see the backup file in the location you selected.
✅ Recommendation
Keep your backup file somewhere safe (Desktop, external drive, or cloud storage) before performing updates or reinstalls.
