How to Reinstall ScanLister (Windows)

Some older versions of ScanLister cannot update in place. If this happens, reinstalling ScanLister will resolve the issue without removing your settings.

⚠️ When is this required?

If you attempt to update ScanLister and the update appears to finish but your version number does not change, you are likely running a very old Windows version that must be reinstalled manually.

Reinstall Steps (Windows)

1. Open the Windows Control Panel
   Go to Control Panel → Programs → Uninstall a program.

2. Find and uninstall ScanLister
   Locate ScanLister in the list of installed programs, then uninstall it.

3. Download and reinstall ScanLister
   Download and install the latest version from the link below:

   https://www.scanlister.com/windowsdownloadlink

💡 Good to know

Reinstalling ScanLister does not remove your settings or data. Once reinstalled, ScanLister will be on a supported version and future updates will work normally.
