Important: Update ScanLister by January 31
A required update due to backend improvements — older versions will stop working after January 31st.
What is Happening?
We’re making important backend system improvements to improve performance, reliability, and long-term stability. To ensure compatibility with these changes, all users must update to a supported version of ScanLister.
⚠️ Action Required
Older versions of ScanLister will stop working after January 31st. Please update before the end of January to continue using the software.
🧩 Minimum Required Versions
The following minimum versions are required:
- Windows: All versions before 3.0.0.9 will stop working
- Mac: All versions before 3.2 will stop working

Why is This Happening?
🔧 Backend System Improvements
Better reliability and stability: These changes improve how ScanLister communicates with backend services and support future improvements.
Compatibility requirement: Older versions won’t be compatible with the upgraded backend and will no longer function after January 31st.
Your data is safe: Updating does not remove your data or settings.
How to Update ScanLister
Follow the steps below to update ScanLister before the deadline:

- Follow the update guide for your platform:
- Confirm you’re on a supported version: Minimum versions required are Windows 3.0.0.9+ and Mac 3.2+.
⚠️ Important for Older Windows Versions
If you are running a Windows version earlier than 2.0.4.1, the in-app update process may appear to complete but will not actually update ScanLister.
In this case, you must uninstall and reinstall ScanLister to move to a supported version.

💡 Having trouble updating?
Some very old versions cannot update in place. If the update doesn’t work, follow the reinstall instructions above or contact support.
